Crafting Guild

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Requirements: 40 Crafting, your buy runescape accounts must be wearing a Crafting cape or a Brown apron.
Location: Directly southwest of Falador and northwest of the Rimmington mines.
Introduction
The Crafting guild is a phenomenal place for low-level crafters because they do not have to leave the guild to train. For example, players could mine, soften, throw, and fire clay without needing to leave the guild or wasting time traveling from the potter’s wheel to the bank. In addition to clay, you could obtain hides, tan them, and craft the tanned hides at the guild. However, if you need to use a bank for runescape money, you’re out of luck; the closest banks are in Falador.

A quick way to access a bank and return to the guild for P2P could be to alternate between using a Ring of dueling, to teleport to the Castle Wars arena, and a Skills necklace to teleport back to the guild. F2P players could use the Falador teleport to avoid walking to the bank one way, at the very least.
First Floor
On the first floor of the building, there are four main quadrants: the northeastern quadrant (pottery throwing), the northwestern quadrant (pottery firing), the central quadrant (sink), and the southwestern quadrant (this quadrant does not contribute to crafting). You will find a fairly large gold, silver, and clay mine to the east, and a cow field to the west. This guide will break down each of these sectors one-by-one.
The northeastern quadrant of the building is primarily useful for throwing pottery. In the back of this room is a table with an Empty jug respawn on top of it. Next, there are four potter’s wheels which are primarily affiliated with throwing Soft clay (check the Crafting Skill Guide for more information). On the border of this quadrant is a table with a Hammer and a Chisel respawn on it.
The next quadrant for discussion is the northwestern quadrant, which is useful for firing pottery. At the back of this room, you should easily see the pottery oven, which you could use to fire Pots, Pie dishes, Bowls, and Plantpots (check the Crafting Skill Guide for more information). In front of the oven is a table with a Bracelet mould and an Amulet mould respawn.
The final two quadrants of the building on the first floor will be discussed together. In the central quadrant of the building, you will see a sink, which can be used with the Empty jug to soften Clay. Also, you will see a staircase, which would lead you to the second floor of the building (discussed later).
If your runescape accounts go inside the Crafting Guild and walk to the east side of the building, you will be in a mine which consists of mostly gold and silver rocks. There are a few clay rocks in this area. Players usually use this mine to obtain runescape gold and Silver ores, so you should be expecting at least one other player there. Remember that there is no bank nearby to store your ores! In total, there are nineteen rocks at the mine: six clay rocks, six silver rocks, and seven gold rocks.
To conclude the first floor of the guild, we will discuss the cow holding area on the west side of the guild. This area can be accessed from outside of the guild on the west side, so none of the requirements at the top apply to access this area. In this area, you will find two Dairy cows, many Cows, and one Cow Calf. You can use a Bucket with a Dairy cow to obtain a Bucket of milk (for cooking). Additionally, you can kill Cows and the Cow calf for Raw beef (for cooking). The primary purpose for the Cows at the crafting guild is to obtain their hides, which can be tanned on the second floor of the guild.
Second Floor
The second floor of the building is useful for tanning Cowhides and spinning Wool, Flax, Tree roots, Sinew, and Yak hair into Balls of wool, Bow strings, Crossbow strings, and Rope (check the Crafting Skill Guide for more information). If you want to tan one or more hides, simply speak to the Tanner. You will need money to tan a hide, which is clearly displayed on the Tanning GUI (check the Crafting Skill Guide for more information). To wrap up the second floor, on the back table you will find a Necklace mould respawn and a Holy mould respawn. On the front table, you will find a Ring mould and a Tiara mould respawn. On the barrel, you will find a pair of Shears.
Master Crafter
When you have achieved the arduous task of obtaining 99 Crafting, speak to the Master Crafter on the first floor of the Crafting Guild. He will sell you a Crafting cape for 99,000 gp. Please check the Skillcape Special Report for more information.
Item Spawns Overview:
Below is a map of the runescape item respawn locations on the First Floor and the Second Floor:
Conclusion
The Crafting Guild contains a lot of resources to aid in the leveling of this skill. You do not have to leave the guild at all to level crafting, which makes it a very convenient place. If you are confused on how to use the resources that can be obtained in this guild, please consult the Crafting Skill Guide.

Hopefully you will now understand and utilize this wonderful guild to a great power to achieve a high crafting level.

The Tools of the Trade

Monday, January 12th, 2009

As a fighter, the tools you will use in your craft will be simple; weapons, armor, and food. Of course, you don’t need all of those things, or even any of them. You can become a pretty effective fighter just by kicking, punching, or bashing your way through the world of Runescape, all the while wearing no more armor than the clothes your character of your runescape accounts started with. Of course, you won’t last very long against most monsters, and you will die a lot, but it can be done.
Most people don’t go this route. For obvious reasons (Not the least of which is that it’s far more fun) most of us want the armor, the weapons, the helmets, the amulets… all the cool stuff we can get by runescape gold, right?
Great. We want these things. If you have lot of runescape money, you can buy it. Unfortunately, we can’t use them all. And even if we limit ourselves to the ones we can use, there are still lots of choices. Do you want to use a scimitar? A war hammer? A long sword? Which one does more damage? Which one is faster? Which one is best against skeletons, or wizards, or giants? And what about armor. What should you use? Plate armor? Ahain mail? Leather? Nothing? Which is best? Why?
A lengthy discussion of the benefits of each individual type of weapon and armor isn’t found in this guide because it wouldn’t be all that helpful anyway. (If you are interested in the statistics and benefits of each piece of armor or each type of weapon, You can come runescape guide to find our your answer! It provides all the necessary stats.)
you will be told the weapons and armor to use, and when to use it. You can choose your own, of course, but to make things quicker, this guide chooses for you buy runescape accounts. Let’s get started with some basics. One of the main screens you need to be aware of when you train your melee combat is the combat screen.

runescape Experience

Monday, January 5th, 2009

The combat screen has a lot of important information and controls. It tells you what combat level of runescape accounts you are (level) as well as what attack options you have.
A character’s combat level is determined by several factors.
1. Hit Points
2. Defense
3. Prayer
And 1 of the following:
1. Magic
2. Range
3. Attack and Strength
Every time you hit an opponent, you will get 1 experience point towards your hit points, and 3 more experience points that will be given to one or more of your other skills. These 3 points will be divided up according to your choice, so it’s important to know how to choose.

Basically, when using a melee weapon you can use up to four different types of attack. These are accessed by clicking on the crossed swords icon of the control panel of your buy runescape accounts, the one that has your inventory, stats, etc. The four different types of attacks are:
AAAURATE: Gives you the best chance of scoring a hit against your opponent. The experience you earn when using accurate attacks will go towards your ATTAAK skill.
AGGRESIVE: Gives you the best chance of scoring maximum damage against an opponent. The experience you earn when using aggressive attacks will go towards your STRENGTH skill.
DEFENSIVE: Gives you the best chance of not being hit by an opponent. The experience you earn when using defensive attacks will go towards your DEFENSE skill
AONTROLLED: Gives you a mix between the other three styles. The experience you earn when using accurate attacks will be equally divided between ATTAAK, STRENGTH, and DEFENSE.

When attacking an opponent, your experience will be divided according to what attack style you use. Selecting Accurate, Aggressive, or Defensive will increase those skills three times faster than using Aontrolled. This is what we will do in our leveling-up. We will go for fast instead of even. By training this way we will be able to use weapons faster, armor faster, and generally level-up faster.
Those are the basics. You need to know them because your goals in leveling up will be very specific. These goals are:
1. Level 40 Attack
2. Level 40 Defense
3. Level 40 + Strength.
By focusing our effort on these three goals, you will maximize your time and reach levels higher. Getting higher than level 40 in Attack and Defense is possible, and a lot of people do it, but by doing that they waste time that would be better spent increasing other skills, but well cover that later. Of course, you has made rapid progress by runescape money(runescape gold). Just remember to keep these goals in mind.
Ok. Now we know how to distribute experience and we know what levels we want to reach. All we need to do now is figure out how to get there.

Go back up to the Goblin Village and talk to the generals. Tell them you have the Orange goblin mail and you will go into a cutscene of Grubfoot trying it on. The generals are not pleased with the color and ask you to get blue.

Talk to them again and tell them you have the Blue goblin mail and you will again go into a cutscene of Grubfoot trying it on. Again they are not satisfied and will ask you to get brown.

Ernest the Chicken

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Description:Veronica is very worried. Her fiancee went into the big spooky manor house to ask for directions. An hour later and he’s still not out yet.
Difficulty: Novice
Length: Medium
Requirements: None.
Items Needed: runescape money, Spade (Picked up during the quest).
Quest Points: 4
Reward: 300 coins
Start Point: Gates of Draynor Manor.
To Start: Speak to Veronica.

Talk to Veronica outside the Draynor Manor and she will tell you about how her fianc? Ernest, went into the mansion an hour ago and has no yet returned. Tell her that you will help find him and head into the mansion.

Once inside head up the staircase just inside the doors. Once upstairs take the spiral staircase up another level and you will find Professor Oddenstein. Talk to him and ask about Ernest. He will tell you that Ernest has helped him with an experiment and has been turned into a chicken. When you ask the Professor to turn him back he will tell you gremlins stole three parts, an Oil can, a Rubber tube, and a Pressure gauge, from his machine. He will now ask you to help find the parts.

The first item we will go for is the Oil can. To find this item you must head down into the basement. The ladder leading to the basement is hidden behind a secret door covered by a bookcase. This bookcase is in the southwest corner of the mansion. Once inside the room head down the ladder. Now that you are in the basement you must pull different levers to open and close different doors. The following chart will help you with that part.

Pull the A and B levers and open the northeast door.
Pull the D lever and go through the southwest door then proceed through the south door.
Pull the A and B levers again and open the northwest door then go through the west door followed by the north door.
Pull the F and E levers and open the east door then continue through the next east door.
Pull the C lever and head back through the northwest door and then through the west door.
Pull the E levers and open the east door then the south door followed by another south door.
Finally open the west door and grab the Oil can!

Now onto the Rubber tube. Head back to the ground floor and go to the southeast corner grabbing a spade in this room. Go outside through the door in the back of this room and head around the mansion to the other side. On this side you will find a pile of compost where you will have the option to search it. Either use the search option or use your spade on it and you will find a key. Head back into the house and open the door to the small room behind the staircase. This room has a runescape accounts level 22 Skeleton but don’t worry about it. Run in and grab the tube then head back out. You now only have 1 more item to go!

Lastly is the Pressure gauge. Go back up the staircase and go to the room south of the stairs. Grab the Fish food in this room and go back down the stairs. Head over to the west side of the mansion and go into the small room next to the kitchen where you will find some Poison, grab it and head outside. Use the Poison with the Fish food and use your new buy runescape accounts Poisoned fish food with the fountain in the southwest corner of the lawn, if you want to call it that. Once you get a message saying the fish have been killed search it and you will find a Pressure gauge.

Go back into the mansion and talk to Professor Oddenstein. He will thank you for the runescape gold, items and turn Ernest back into a human. Ernest is glad he is no longer a chicken and will reward you for your help.
